Real-time route optimization and automated scheduling for fleet dispatch
Microsecond Precision
Managing emergency medical transport and commercial freight fleets requires microsecond precision. Apex Logistics was struggling with legacy dispatcher boards that updated slowly, leading to route overlapping, vehicle idle times, and delayed dispatches. The client needed a high-performance dispatch portal and mobile client with real-time GPS telemetry and dynamic traffic rerouting.
The system had to compute millions of data coordinates in real time while maintaining complete reliability for drivers navigating remote and low-connection areas.
Dynamic Dispatch Command
We engineered Apex Dispatch, a real-time GPS dispatch control console. The system integrates WebSockets and GIS optimization to trace vehicles, compute optimized routes, and automatically dispatch drivers based on proximity and urgency.
The driver client app features offline caching, ensuring route navigation and dispatcher messaging remain operational even during cellular signal drops.
User-Centric Philosophy
Live Telemetry
Implemented WebSockets and geospatial data streams for continuous location tracking.
Routing Algorithm
Integrated dynamic routing heuristics to compute traffic, vehicle type, and emergency urgency.
Offline Sync
Developed offline caching in the driver client to handle cellular blackouts in remote zones.
Console UX
Engineered a high-density, multi-map dashboard that handles 1M+ active telemetry inputs.
Optimized Fleet Logistics
Apex Dispatch revolutionized fleet management for the client. By replacing manual phone coordinates with real-time mapping dispatches, response times fell significantly and vehicle fuel/idle time was optimized.
35% Reduced
Reduction in average emergency transit dispatch times within 3 months.
